Permanent Part time- 40 hours per fortnightThis role offers a rare chance to lead compassionate, expert Cardiology- Electrophysiology care across acute and elective pathways, while advancing your clinical expertise and making a meaningful impact on patients, whanau, and the wider health system at Health New Zealand Waikato.Become part of our innovative and collaborative team, where professional growth is championed and delivering exceptional care to patients and their whanau is at the heart of everything we do.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleA rewarding opportunity has emerged for a highly motivated expert cardiology nurse interested in Electrophysiology (EP) to join our Surgical and Cardiology Resource Nursing team.

As an integral member of our multidisciplinary cardiology team, the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) plays a pivotal role in supporting patients through EP care.

This includes managing inpatient waitlists, triage, coordinating care planning and delivering education for both elective and acute EP patients.

Our goal is to ensure that patients and their whanau are fully informed, supported, and prepared for their procedures.Our Clinical Nurse Specialist- EP run a nurse led AF clinics.

This is a collaborative model between emergency medicine and primary care for the timely and effective management of AF patients, improving outcomes and streamlining care pathways.We are seeking to expand this initiative, offering the successful candidate the unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to its development and future direction.

This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in innovation, values collaborative practice, and is passionate about advancing EP care.The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the NZNO Collective Agreement.
