This is a fantastic opportunity for a  Water Engineer  to join our national water teamin  New Plymouth.

The role :

  • Core function includes investigation, design and implementation of a range of projects involving stormwater, water supply, wastewater, transport and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Develop good business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard.
  • Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables, as required.
  • Perform office and site-based roles, including working with virtual teams across GHD offices nationally and internationally.
  • Provide guidance to graduate design engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them.

About you :

  • A relevant university degree in Civil engineering with at least 5+ year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry design standards and guidelines
  • Working knowledge of public and private sector
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Design software skills (.,  12D, Civil3D, ACAD, GIS )
  • Ability to nurture and develop teamwork within the group
  • Organised in multitasking of self and others and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to be proactive and take ownership of projects
  • Self-motivated and energetic
