Job description

What you’ll do :

  • Work within a squad as part of the broader Claims Platform.
  • Build strong relationships through engagement with colleagues, and stakeholders across Business and Technology.
  • Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
  • Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
  • Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery.
  • Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Platform Delivery leads, Scrum Master, architects, Developers, Tech Leads, Test Analyst to identify, capture, plan and deliver changes.
  • Mentor / train team members; participate and contribute to business analyst chapter and / or forums providing insights and thought leadership
  • Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.

What you’ll bring :

  • Recent experience with Guidewire Claimcenter
  • Minimum 5 years technical business analysis experience in a project / delivery orientated role, from a large organisation.
  • Minimum 3 years’ Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation.
  • Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference.
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
