Coordinator Pharmacist (Medical Team)

Through integration and collaboration, we - re building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic pharmacist for a permanent part-time (16 hours per week) position of Medical Team Co-ordinator Pharmacist.This role forms part of the clinical pharmacy service, with the position holder having a caseload of patients to provide Pharmaceutical services to, as well as supporting junior members of staff to provide care to their patients.

The position holder provides some operational duties on a rostered basis and works closely with the Clinical Team leader and Surgical Team Coordinator Pharmacist to co-ordinate the coverage of Clinical Pharmacy services across the District.The Medical Team Coordinator Pharmacist acts as a role model to other pharmacists and provides support, advice and education to the pharmacy department, as well as other healthcare professionals.About the Team / Service LocationThe pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers.

We provide a comprehensive pharmacy service throughout to the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District, which includes a clinical service, dispensary & logistics service, and a quality & risk service.

There is also an aseptic production service at Capital & Coast Hospitals (Wellington & Kenepuru).

Through these services, we aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing, supply and distribution of medicines throughout the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District.

You will have previous hospital pharmacy experience and the ability to work with a variety of staff from different healthcare professions.
