Oji Fibre Solutions is one of New Zealand's leading manufacturers and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our customers include blue‑chip manufacturers and marketers of packaging products to the food, primary produce, industrial and grocery sectors.

Our site based in Levin is seeking an experienced Quality Coordinator who is passionate about Quality, enjoys a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and enjoys the variety provided by working both in the office and the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the quality of our packaging is superior when it comes off the production line by supporting the Quality & Compliance Manager and filling in as 2IC when required.
• Maintaining Quality Management Systems in accordance with industry standards ISO 9001, 22000.
• Maintaining site compliance with all regulatory and customer‑specific quality requirements.
• Quality Assurance & Quality Control : Implement and maintain testing, quality assurance and food safety processes and procedures, conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in‑process items and finished products, perform audits of production processes to ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards and food safety regulations, manage quarantine / rework area, management of DWR internal defects system, management of new colour matchings and swatch creation via ink maker software.
• Documentation & Reporting – maintain all records.
• Continuous improvement – experience with Six Sigma methodologies and a genuine desire to identify areas of improvement and work alongside the production team to implement.
