Taihape Area School is seeking kaiako with passion and heart to make a difference to join our team in 2026. Due to growth and current positions being fulfilled by personnel with Limited Authority to Teach, we are seeking kaiako for a number of areas within our kura to facilitate and lead learning within, one of these areas being our Y7–8 area of our kura.

The successful kaiako will :

• have an understanding of and passion for ākonga navigating this exciting time of their learning journey
• foster and build servant leadership
• be willing to dream big and create collaboratively with ākonga and colleagues learning experiences that celebrate who we are and where we stand
• be committed to being the best version of themselves in their teaching practice.

Taihape Area School is located on the backbone of the North Island. We are progressing positively. Along with the whole school rebuild we are strengthening our curriculum to ensure we build an interdependent learning culture that honours and learns from our past, and engages actively in the present to stand in tomorrow's dawn with confidence and hope.
