Job descriptionManage financial control across pre- and post-contract stages. Prepare tenders, estimates, and contract documents. Monitor project costs, scope, and statutory requirements to meet quality and budget goals. Lead negotiations with subcontractors and clients, ensuring fair outcomes. Provide technical support to project teams and guide junior staff where required. Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiencies and project outcomes. Minimum 3-5 years’ New Zealand construction experience in a QS role. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or related field (NZIQ Registered QS desirable). Strong cost management skills : estimating, budgeting, contract admin, and claims. Knowledge of NZ construction contracts and regulations. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and subcontractor agreements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Available and enthusiastic about regular travel. Proficiency with MS Office and project management software.
