We are looking for an ambassador for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Assistant Manager. The ambassador should have an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team.
Your Purpose : You are the hotel’s maestro—quietly guiding the orchestra of guest arrivals, team dynamics, and first impressions, ensuring that every note of the luxury experience is flawlessly in tune.

Job Description
- Support Daily Operations : Assist in managing the day‑to‑day Front Office, Portering, and Night Audit functions to maintain service standards, efficiency, and profitability.
- Customer Service Excellence : Help position the hotel as a market leader in personalised, customer‑focused service.
- Team Coordination : Participate in and help run weekly Front Office meetings while maintaining confidentiality on discussed matters.
- Guest Experience Management : Supervise guest arrivals and departures to ensure smooth check‑in / out and accurate room allocations.
- System and Reporting Accuracy : Ensure effective use of the Front Office system, maintaining data accuracy and generating necessary operational reports.
- Operational Liaison : Coordinate with Maintenance and manage lobby services (car parking, portering) to ensure prompt guest service and issue resolution.
- Performance Monitoring : Support night audit accuracy, assist in preparing monthly reports, and handle other tasks as directed by hotel management.
Qualifications
Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft OutlookValid LCQ, clean NZ Full Drivers License and Managers Licence.Eager to learn and comfortability training.Strong organisational skills, decision making and excellent presentation.At least 1‑2 years experience in a Leadership role or similar; PMS : Opera CloudAt least 1 year in a leadership role experience within the hotel industryAttention to detailStrong presentation and organisation skillsAbility to work in the fast paced environment and be proactivePrevious hotel or administration experiencePositive bubbly personalityFlexibility to work weekends and public holidaysProjects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills.Additional Information
