Specialist Risk & Compliance Lead - Biometric Processing Privacy Code (6-Month Fixed Term)

This is a unique opportunity to provide deep subject matter expertise, guiding stakeholders through complex compliance requirements and helping to embed robust risk and compliance practices across the business.

As a Specialist Risk & Compliance Lead, you will :

• Support the development and embedment of risk and compliance activities as part of the Biometric Processing Privacy Code implementation.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders, enabling them to understand and meet their compliance obligations.
• Offer practical solutions and robust challenge in the design and implementation of processes, controls, and compliance arrangements for biometric monitoring, with a focus on compliance-by-design.
• Contribute risk and compliance expertise to relevant Steering Committees and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
• Assist the Head of Compliance and Risk in supporting business stakeholders to manage risks and compliance obligations in line with ASB’s frameworks.
• Build maturity and capability across ASB in proactive identification and management of compliance incidents and issues, including root cause analysis and response.
• Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders across ASB, including distribution and support divisions, Line 2, and Legal Services.
