Ready for a people leadership position? We have an opportunity at Wellington Airport for a Wash Bay Supervisor to groom our team of Vehicle Service Agents and ensure we are delivering a superior service to our customers.

About The Role

As Wash Bay Supervisor, you will lead by example a team of car cleaners to provide our customers with vehicles that are safe, mechanically sound and clean. You will also maximise profit by meeting fleet requirements and reporting vehicle damage. You will be responsible for ensuring all assigned paperwork, documents, and reports are completed accurately, conducting vehicle preparation evaluations regularly, and coordinating the daily activities of the team. Where needed you will train, coach, and direct the team in their duties, report non‑compliance to management, and assist with preparing shift schedules and reports.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need

• Previous managerial and / or leadership experience, with proven skills in coaching, developing team members, delivering feedback, and managing performance.
• Work experience in a similar role within the car rental industry.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, problem‑solve, and show initiative.
• Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
• Competent planning and organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and software quickly and efficiently.

Based at Wellington Airport, our Washbay operates seven days a week from 07 : 00 to 20 : 30 and you will be rostered to work 40 hours per week on 5 eight‑hour shifts that may include mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
