We are currently seeking at least one part-time candidate to join our reception team. There will be opportunity for extra hours, shift swaps personal development and progression within the surgery.
Main duties of the job
Thefollowing are the core responsibilities of the receptionist.
- a. Processpersonal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
- b. Answerincoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers requestappropriately
- c. Signpostpatients to the correct service
- d. Initiatingcontact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members andexternal agencies
- e. Photocopydocumentation as required
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the medical administrator may be requested to :
b. Provide support to the clinical team.c. Scanningof patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patientshealthcare recordsd. Completeopening and closing procedures.e. Ash Surgery is a traditional GP Practice, set in the heart of rural East Kent, close to the city of Canterbury. We are a close-knit team, and we work closely with the clinical team in aid to support them in the daily running of the practice and deliver the very best in patient care.

Dataentry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information asrequiredi. Inputdata into the patients healthcare records as necessaryj. Directrequests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA formsto the administrative teamk. Manageall queries as necessary in an efficient mannerl. Carryout system searches as requestedm. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all timesn. Monitorand maintain the reception area and notice boardso. Qualifications
GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths desirable.Experience
