About the role :

• Hospital small enough to give you hands-on specialist-led experience, yet big enough to learn through an internationally renowned research partnership, your career opportunities are limitless

• You will be exposed to several medical situations that will equip you well for future training registrar roles

You will have continued support in your professional development through 24 / 7 access to the library, weekly teaching and Grand Rounds, journal clubs, and regular RMO forums.

Following that and depending on your interest, we have a number of runs available for you to work in.

These include :

• General Surgery
• Orthopaedics
• General Medicine
• Psychiatry
• AT&R
• Relievers
• ED (six month run)
• Paediatrics (six month run)
• O&G (six month run).

If your interest lies in the specialties that are six months in length, please indicate your preferences in your cover letter.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have :

• registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at MCNZ

• a minimum of one year post qualification experience.

It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC.

If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
