Librarian / Promotions Co-Ordinator

OverviewOpihi College is seeking a dynamic Librarian / Promotions Co-ordinator to lead one of our most valued resources – our School Library.

This is a unique opportunity to foster a love of reading, support inquiry-based learning, and create a vibrant hub for students and staff.

This person will also be passionate about promoting our kura and all the achievements that happen within it.The Librarian / Promotions Co-ordinator will be in charge of the daily operations of the library and ensure this busy hub remains a welcoming, innovative, and well-utilised space.

You'll be instrumental in promoting literacy, supporting curriculum needs of both students and staff, and integrating digital resources into learning.

You'll be key in keeping all digital platforms up to date and showcasing Opihi College to the community and beyond.This position is 25 hours per week, term time only and starts the end of January

• .Key ResponsibilitiesLibrary ManagementMaintain a warm, inclusive environment for all students and staff.Manage library systems including Oliver and ensure accurate cataloguing.Ensure collections are maintained and kept up to date.Track spending and maintain a budget.School device lending and management.Support students and staff with learning requests.PromotionsMaintain website and all social media platforms.Photograph and promote school activities through all platforms.Update signage, branding as requested.Showcase the best of the kura at all times.What We're Looking ForA warm, approachable person with a passion for literacy and learning.Strong organisational and communication skills.Experience managing library systems.Ability to foster positive relationships with students and staff.A proactive, innovative mindset with a "can-do" attitude.Application notesYour application will include the following question : Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
