Mo te tunga | About the roleThis is a fantastic opportunity to join EECA's Standards and Technical team, which is responsible for developing policies and standards which will influence behavioural and technological change throughout New Zealand.
Due to internal movements, we are looking for a Technical Products and Systems Lead to provide technical leadership in relation to the energy efficiency and demand flexibility of products and systems.
This role will be a key point of contact with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities of the role include : Provide technical advice for EECA programmes involving standards and regulationsEngage with relevant standards committees, industry and government agenciesWorking with a dedicated team of people who are passionate about what they do.Some national and international travel will be required to carry out this role.
We are looking for someone who has :
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or discipline
Extensive domestic and international knowledge in technology-based approaches to energy efficiency and demand flexibility
Experience of government processes or working in a regulatory environment
Strong understanding of standards and specifications development
Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
