The Rotowaro coalfield and opencast mine is the second largest opencast coal mine in New Zealand and is located 10km west of Huntly.

About you :
Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, the operations supervisor is supported by a Leading Hand / 2IC.
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the mining operations and / or rehabilitation operations, with a commitment to comply with Health, Safety and Environment standards.
Leading daily shift-wide operation meetings
Responsible for the day-to-day on-site Health and Safety
Managing operators and allocating tasks
Ensuring that targets are met and quality is maintained.
Providing training and ensuring operators consistently meet standard operating standards
Skills and Requirements :
A or B grade coal Manager Certificate of Competency
