We are a dedicated Speech-language Therapy teamworking to provide high quality evidence based clinical care and innovative practice in a fast-paced tertiary acute care environment.
The Speech-language Therapy service offers a supportive team environment with experienced colleagues and a wide range of opportunities for continuing professional development.
Our team provides services to all clinical areas in the acute hospital setting, as well as outpatient services in some areas.
Instrumental swallowing assessments, including cough reflex testing, videofluoroscopy (VFSS) and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) are embedded in our daily practice and there are opportunities to upskill in these areas.This role is a rotational position, across both adult and paediatric clinical areas, where you will be mentored and supported by our experienced Speech-language Therapists who are truly passionate about what they do.
Throughout the rotations you will develop your knowledge base and skill set to make meaningful contributions to the healthcare of a wide variety of patients.Our preferred candidates will be graduates of Aotearoa New Zealand Speech-language Therapy training programmes and will be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists Association (NZSTA).
