Senior Software Engineer - SRE

About the role

We have an opportunity for a sharp minded technologist to join our Engineering Practice in a Senior Software Engineer position (Intermediate Engineer role). The role is embedded in the AML squad, which is a key part of the Financial Crime Platform.

Financial Crime platform squads primarily focus on, prevention and management of the impact of financial crime happening. The Platform is divided into 3 domains which represent our 3 squads : Fraud, AML & Sanctions. Our squads support our Operations staff fighting financial crime on the front line.

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take the ownership and proactively manage the availability and performance of all supported technologies along with other SRE engineers in the platform. This role will support ongoing project and BAU tasks, aligning with DevOps practices.

What You’ll Do

• Linux and Windows operating systems server support
• AML squad - Applications / Systems support
• Develop your technical competence using fault situations as an opportunity to learn
• Assist in the resolution of technical incidents and problems as Tiers 1 & 2 support
• Vulnerability management
• Maintain and support Azure DevOps pipelines
• Involvement in process management and improvement
• Comfortable working in a highly regulatory environment
