Their culture is open, approachable and supportive with a focus on team, continuous improvement and excellent customer service.The RoleThe purpose of this role is to work with the entire Taranakipine team to improve quality systems and procedures and support an overall company culture of continuous improvement and waste minimisation.
You will also support operational leaders in developing in-process quality procedures that are conveyed to staff in a clear and logical way.You will ensure that all quality and compliance measurements are in place, effective in their use and actively monitored and reported.
The role is both QA and QC focused, directional and supportive towards improving quality outcomes.You will take ownership in the maintenance and enhancement of Taranakipines' QMS, as well as, ensure there is a high standard of SOPs across all manufacturing departments.Our Ideal CandidateYou will be passionate about quality and continuous improvement.
You will be motivated and committed to making a difference to the quality performance of the company.Your success in building relationships will allow you to influence and communicate across the entire business in a structured way, which would ultimately result in zero waste practices.You will thrive on exploring methods to improve quality procedures, practices and reporting within organisations, and successfully implement them.The ideal candidate will have : At least three years' experience in a quality and compliance role, with a successful track record in identifying and driving process improvementA relevant tertiary qualification in Quality and experience in any of the following industries : manufacturing, engineering, science, technical or related disciplinesExperience coordinating internal audits and testing programmes, third party audits and independent verification auditsKnowledge and experience in wood processing and forestry businesses (desirable)Proven experience in using 'Lean Thinking' and methodology to drive continuous improvementA dynamic and structured, yet flexible approach to organising workExceptional relationship management skills with the ability to establish credibility and build rapportStrong attention to detail and sharp organisational skillsCompetent in computer and IT systems including SharepointExperience in working within manufacturing environments (desirable)This role provides you with the opportunity to live in one of NZ's most vibrant regions and join an industry leader.
