Senior School Teachers (2 Positions)

Overview

St Michael's Catholic School (Remuera), Auckland, is seeking two dedicated and passionate senior school teachers to join our permanent teaching staff from 2026.

The school is guided by the Josephite Charism of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and provides a faith-filled, high-achieving learning environment.

The roles

We have two full-time, permanent positions available :

A strong Y6 teacher who can guide our senior students as they prepare for intermediate school.

A Y4–5 teacher with experience and confidence in working with neurodiverse students who can foster a love for learning in our intermediate-level students.

As a senior school teacher, you will be responsible for providing a rich and engaging curriculum that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.

Our teaching philosophy is inspired by Mary MacKillop's commitment to providing a holistic education that empowers students to be compassionate and just.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for collaborative and innovative educators with a strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and effective pedagogical practices.

The successful applicants should have proven experience in :

Differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.

Integrating digital technologies to enhance learning.

Formative assessment and data analysis to inform teaching.

Building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

A genuine desire to uphold the special character of our school and walk alongside our children and their families on their faith journey is essential.
