Senior Mechanical Engineer

Are you ready to take the lead on complex, high-value projects that shape industries and communities? At Aurecon, we're looking for a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to drive the delivery of sustainable solutions across the Fuels, Chemicals, Water, and Food & Beverage sectors. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, leading teams, and strengthening our client partnerships across Aotearoa and Australia. You'll also mentor and grow emerging talent, fostering a high-performance culture that thrives on innovation.

What you'll do :

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions across energy, resource, and manufacturing projects. Collaborating closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you'll focus on the dairy industry, manufacturing and food & beverage sectors, supporting and expanding our pipeline with sustaining capital projects in New Zealand. You'll also contribute to our growing decarbonisation portfolio, strengthening client partnerships and driving growth with new manufacturing clients, in alignment with our Energy & Industrial plan. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of engineering in a dynamic, impactful sector.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead Projects : Take charge of small to medium-sized projects, ensuring delivery meets client expectations and business objectives.
• Project Lifecycle Management : Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including cost estimation and budgeting, design management and coordination, procurement and construction management, commissioning and handover.
• Inspire and guide : Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their growth and enabling the team to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
• Project Management : Proven track record as a project manager leading cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Innovation and Research : Stay up to date with the latest advancements and integrate new innovations and best practices into project designs
