Legal Secretary

We are currently seeking an experienced Property Conveyancing Legal Secretary to provide temporary support for a leading law firm in Christchurch.

This is a full time position with an immediate start, offering a great opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running.

You will be working closely with a team of senior legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support for property conveyancing files.

Manage client and third-party communications, including with clients, real estate agents, and other law firms.

Prepare and manage legal documents, agreements, and correspondence.

Conduct property searches and handle Landonline transactions.

Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate client files.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of the conveyancing process.

What We're Looking For :

Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a legal setting

Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask

Excellent communication and time management abilities

Familiarity with legal billing, invoicing, and experience with Actionstep is a plus
