The role

This is a fast-paced and varied role. You’ll be working closely with a range of interesting, complex and rewarding clients that have a variety of risks and future maturity goals. Our clients range from small kiwi-owned businesses to well-known public sector organisations.

We are looking for people to join our team full-time (minimum 30-hours per week) in Security Consultant and Senior Security Consultant roles based in our Wellington office. You’ll be involved in :

• Delivering client projects, including scoping, scheduling, quality assurance and delivery.
• Documenting internal processes and procedures.
• Establishing and maintaining your domain-level expertise.
• Identifying new opportunities with existing or new clients.

What we’re looking for

We’d be keen to speak to you if you have 1-5 years’ experience in the cybersecurity industry. We’re looking for someone that’s resilient and empathetic, with a drive to continuously improve.

The main skills we look for are below, and a role with Bastion might be a good fit for you if you have some of these. Don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes; for the right candidates, we’ll provide training and on-the-job learning in a supportive team environment :

Cybersecurity knowledge : you have a passion for cybersecurity, and you’re able to explain security fundamentals. You might hold one or more security certifications (such as OSCP, OSCE, CREST, GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, or GMOB OWSE).
