Applications Analyst

6 Month Contract - Bell Block based

Our client is a well-established Energy company in New Zealand.

They are now after an Applications Analyst to support their service delivery team in their New Plymouth branch where you'll play a key role in supporting, monitoring, and maintaining business critical applications.

As the 2nd level technical expert, you'll troubleshoot issues, minimise incidents, and ensure smooth deployment of system changes.

This is a contracted role with Immediate availability.

Role Responsibilities

Provide responsive application support and resolve incidents within SLAs.

Analyse, test, and maintain applications while contributing to upgrades and enhancements.

Collaborate with 3rd level support and external vendors to drive resolutions

Build strong working relationships across teams and deliver excellent customer service.

Document processes, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have

Tertiary qualification in computer science / technology or equivalent

3+ Years IT experience in application support and maintenance

Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Microsoft systems

Experience with ITIL practices and process documentation

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Analytically minded

Proactive team player with great initiative
