About the Role
We are seeking 1'2 experienced and compassionate Clinical
& Health Psychologist / s to join our multidisciplinary team at the Southern
Pelvic Mesh Service.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally
funded service supporting individuals experiencing complications following
pelvic mesh surgery.
This is also unique as it is a new position, and we are
looking for someone with energy and passion to set up a high standard
psychological service within the southern hub of the New Zealand female pelvic
mesh service.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a highly
collaborative team alongside medical, surgical, allied, and nursing colleagues.
You will provide psychological assessment and intervention within a
trauma-informed framework, with a clinical focus on persistent pain, sexual
health, and trauma.

Board as a Clinical or Health Psychologist
psychological distress in a medical context

documentation and clinical assessment skills
commitment to biculturalism and working with culturally and linguistically
diverse personsPlease note : We are ideally seeking a mix of Clinical and Health Psychologists, as each brings valuable and complementary perspectives to this work.
Due to the complexity of the clinical presentations, at least one appointment must be a Clinical Psychologist.
We may consider general scope psychologists if you have the right experience and skill mix.
