We’re looking for a talented Three Waters Project Manager to deliver new and renew existing, critical city-wide waters infrastructure.

In this role you will join the Hamilton City Council Design and Deliver team of over 60 staff providing critical infrastructure to ensure the resilience and growth of Hamilton.

You will be responsible for project planning, scope definition facilitation, design management, procurement, contract management, commissioning, quality assurance, implementation and project reporting.

You will be a part of group creating positive outcomes and making a real difference for our city and will need experience in managing small, medium and / or large scale (million-dollar+) 3 waters capital delivery projects.

Qualifications

Oo puumanawa me oo wheako | Your skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a Project Management role, ideally 5+ years and with a Tertiary qualification in Project Management and / or Civil Engineering.
  • Project schedule / milestone management
  • Project Management accreditation (for example, Prince2 or PMP).
  • Understanding and experience of programme, financial and risk management including Project / Programme governance reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with internal / external stakeholders, Councillors and Iwi.
  • The ability to work hard while understanding balancing that with positive team culture and collegiality.
  • Initiative to actively manage workloads and progress projects while working on more than one project a time.
  • Have a unique combination of being both process-driven as well as an innovative big picture thinker.
