This role is a fixed term position in response to increased demand within our high priority work programmes. We are surging in people and resources in response to these priorities.

Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme Coordinator to join our Coordination team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth delivery of projects through high-quality coordination and administrative support.

The Coordination team works collaboratively with Programme and Project Managers to provide professional programme coordination services to the Ministry, ensuring the successful delivery of these projects.

In this position, you will work directly to support the Resource Management 3 work programme. This area is scaling quickly across digital enablement and system performance across agencies.

Key responsibilities will include supporting the delivery and documentation by managing SharePoint and version control, action registers, meeting coordination, reporting support, and tracking of dependencies and escalations.

You will be a pro‑active member of the team, enabling others and helping to ensure that everything runs smoothly. You will be supported by senior members of the project team who will share their expertise and ensure you thrive in the role.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced and agile environment with the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Our Ideal Candidates Will Bring :

  • Certification in or currently studying towards CaPM or a similar project / programme qualification.
  • Experience with working in digital programmes.
  • Extensive experience in providing high value coordination services to programmes and projects and supporting a management unit day to day, ideally in a central government setting.
  • High level of technical skills in project and collaboration tools e.g. MS Planner, Mural | MS Whiteboard, CRM.
  • Exceptional visual presentation skills to enable decision‑makers to make informed decisions.
  • Able to operate across a business group's work programme in collaboration with other programme and project based roles.
  • Cultural capability in or a willingness to incorporate te ao Māori into your everyday mahi.

Whānuitanga Utu ā‑Tau | Salary range

Salary range for this role is $70,217 to $84,892 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
