About the Project The Otaki to North of Levin (O2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience, and efficiency, while increasing transport choices for a growing population.
The project is being delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaupoko Tribal Authority, local hapu of Ngati Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council.
This is a transformative infrastructure project being delivered using a two-alliance model.

About the Role As a Surveyor, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality survey services that support the wider project teams.
This includes a range of field and office-based activities such as as-built and topographic surveys, set out, monitoring, survey control establishment, and data analysis.
You'll respond to survey requests from Site Engineers and the Construction Team, ensuring all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
A strong commitment to health and safety is essential, with a focus on contributing to a zero harm environment.

Key Responsibilities Assist the Area Lead Surveyor with daily survey tasks and support overall survey operations.
Perform set-out activities aligned with the project schedule to ensure construction accuracy.
Conduct as-built and topographic surveys, capturing precise site data.
Prepare and manage field data, maintaining documentation in line with project systems.
Deliver survey outputs in both digital and hardcopy formats as required.
Maintain and calibrate survey equipment, ensuring service records are up to date.
Develop and maintain professional working relationships across project teams.
Support and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
Promote a culture of zero harm and environmental responsibility on site.
Contribute to identifying and managing business risks and compliance issues.
About you Relevant qualification and a minimum of three years' experience in civil construction surveying.
Proven experience in roading and bulk earthworks projects is essential.
Experience working with Tier 1 construction companies is preferred.
Solid understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment including GPS, total stations, digital levels, and drone operations.
Proficient in surveying software such as Civil 3D, 12D, or Trimble Business Center.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, site specifications, and construction documents accurately.
