The Drainage Foreperson leads their crew to deliver work safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As Foreperson you will be responsible for the efficient management of day-to-day operations, ensuring that all drainage activities are completed as per project specifications.
Key responsibilities include the coordination of all employees, plant resources, and subcontract personnel in your area of control. You will ensure safe work practices are being followed and promote a collaborative, productive environment on site. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential in overseeing drainage installations, inspections, and maintenance.
In addition to the above you will :
Compete all documentation required for the role including time sheets, daily job sheets, pre start inspections, plant usage sheets, quality checklists, hazard IDs
Hold pre-start meetings and make sure everyone understands the hazards and the plan to control them
Ensure machinery and tools are only operated by those trained, competent and licensed to use

We're looking for someone with :
Minimum 5 years construction experience specifically in drainage / civil construction
Current full Class 2 driver's licence with WTR endorsements
Drain laying qualification highly desirable, but not essential
Ability to operate an excavator to a high standard
Staff supervision experience
Sound knowledge of industry principles and their practical application
Ability to interpret and deliver against construction plans and drawings
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated experience leading and communication with others
Excellent time management skills to ensure goals and deadlines are achieve
Safety first approach to ensure the wellbeing of yourself, your team and the public
Positive, can do attitude with a proven ability to lead a team
