About the Role

Step into a role where your skills as a Podiatrist have real impact – supporting patient wellbeing across hospital and outpatient settings.

In this full-time position, you will deliver specialist podiatry services, including wound care, triage, and acute care, across clinics in both Whakatane and Tauranga.

Your days will be varied and rewarding, from collaborating with ED teams and acute wards to providing support where it matters most in the community.

With support from both local and regional colleagues, the service thrives on connection, collaboration, and a shared commitment to patient-centred care.

Your base hospital can be either Tauranga or Whakatane, there will be travel between the two as part of the regional service model.

About you

You will bring a strong foundation in clinical podiatry, a proactive mindset, and a genuine drive to improve patient outcomes.

With experience in wound care and confidence in navigating a variety of settings, you are ready for the next step in a career that values both impact and balance.

What you will bring :

• Registration as a Podiatrist Board of New Zealand
• Minimum 5 years' experience in secondary health care, specialising in wound care
• Demonstrated ability in triage and service delivery across diverse caseloads
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Previous experience in service development (desirable)
• A commitment to equity, cultural safety, and patient-centred care
