Following discharge, we have a dedicated Neonatal Homecare Nurse team who visits Pepi and whanau in the home.
Pepi may also be followed up by the paediatrician in outpatients.Paediatric experience is advantageous as we also cover our general paediatric ward which is a 7 bed unit providing care and treatment across all disciplines including, respiratory, oncology, neurology, surgical and medical.You will also be involved with providing education and information to parents and taking an active role in the multi-disciplinary team.
The team is small, so team dynamic is important to us.
We are looking for nurses who are passionate about child health and wellbeing.
Candidates need to be :
Shifts are 8 hours.You should also have the proven ability to work in a whanau centred care approach, with an on-going commitment to service improvement and an adaptable approach to practice.
A comprehensive and well-structured orientation programme with good clinical support and an opportunity to grow both as a person and as a professional.
Educational support to achieve the Professional Development and Recognition Programme will also be provided.
