OverviewFood and Beverage Attendant role at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts (Wellington, New Zealand).
As a Food & Beverage attendant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to memorable dining experiences for guests, across breakfast, lunch and dinner service.You will work with the Food and Beverage Team to ensure seamless guest experiences.Primary ResponsibilitiesGreet and welcome guests, assist with enquiries and restaurant bookings.Assist guests with menu offerings and maximise sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.Take orders accurately and input them promptly to aid kitchen performance.Ensure dockets are written clearly for input into the POS system.Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; announce items as needed.Comply with the Food Safety Program (awareness of allergies and dietary requirements).
Maintain hygienic food service techniques at all times.Maintain clean and neat presentation of bar and restaurant areas, following opening, closing and daily procedures.Take responsibility for your designated section and station.Answer the telephone promptly and maximise sales opportunities through product knowledge and suggestive selling.Participate in the service of a variety of functions and events.Set up and reset Conference & Function activities as directed.Operate within outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.Maintain currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification and adhere to RSA principles.QualificationsPrevious experience in food and beverage, bar, barista, or hotel service roles is preferred but not essential.Excellent customer service skills.A friendly and professional attitude with a passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences.Comfortable operating coffee machines or working behind a bar (training can be provided).
