About the Role & Service

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of New Zealands premier cancer centres, where clinical excellence, research innovation, and academic engagement come together in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Expert Multidisciplinary Team : Collaborate with a highly skilled team including 8 medical oncologists, 10 haematologists, 10 radiation oncologists, and 5 palliative care physicians.

We deliver comprehensive care across an inpatient ward including an autologous bone marrow transplant suite, day care and chemotherapy suite, outpatient department and radiation treatment facility.

Advanced Research : Contribute to a full spectrum of clinical trials, including phase I studies of novel agents, through an active research unit committed to pushing the boundaries of cancer treatment.Regional Cancer Centre : we provide oncology services to a regional multicultural population of 750,000, with chemotherapy administration and outpatient clinics in Hamilton and three secondary hospitals.Academic and Teaching Opportunities : Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as part of Waikato Hospitals role within the University of Auckland Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the ASMS SECA agreement.

A Medical Oncologist who is vocationally registered or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.A versatile and flexible clinician who has a passion for working as part of a teamA clinician who is passionate about eliminating health inequitiesA drivers license is essential.
