About the Role
The Functional Consultant plays a key role in the national delivery of functional expertise across a portfolio of modern, cloud‑based Software as a Service (SaaS) systems. Focused on improving health outcomes through technology, this role leverages hands‑on experience in system configuration and delivery to support and enhance business operations. Working collaboratively with product, delivery, technical teams, vendors, and capability areas, the Functional Consultant ensures technology is effectively utilised to drive efficiency and optimise the value of applications and products across the organisation.
About the Team / Service / Location
The Functional Consultant sits within the Enabling Products team, part of the Digital Enablers (Inc AI) & Integration function under the wider Digital Services Group. Reporting into the Manager Enabling Products, this team is focused on the day‑to‑day management, optimisation, and support of Digital Enabling platforms such as ServiceNow and Genesys, enabling seamless omni channel service delivery and operational excellence which is accessible, consistent & scalable. With a focus on improving health outcomes through technology, the team works to ensure consistency, alignment, and value realisation across Health NZ. The Functional Consultant brings deep functional expertise, working closely with product teams, delivery leads, technical specialists, vendors, and capability areas to drive efficiency, usability, and continuous improvement across the digital landscape. This role plays a key part in supporting the broader digital transformation efforts, contributing to better experiences and outcomes for clinical, consumer, and corporate stakeholders.
