Therapy Support Worker

The Kent and Canterbury Hospital Outpatient Therapy Service has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to join its valued support workforce.
As a Therapy Assistant Practitioner in the Outpatient Therapy Service you will provide care across the professions of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and orthotics through delegation and supervision of a registered Health Care Professional.
You will work in a busy department providing care to both adults and children and young people across sub-specialities of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, hand therapy and rheumatology.

Person Specification
Experience
Experience of working in a caring profession.
To have worked in a therapeutic environment
Knowledge
Basic knowledge or interest of medical conditions and terminology, therapy techniques and interventions
To be aware of what OT and physio is
Qualifications
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Skills
Ability to motivate, facilitate and lead patients
Good communicator - verbally and written - with patients and others
Good time management and organisational skills
