Nursing Services Manager (Ward and Day Stay)
WHAINGA | THE PURPOSE
To manage and coordinate the Ward, Admissions, and Day Stay teams, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and supporting the Hospital Manager to achieve Forté Health's strategic goals.
TURANGA | THE ROLE
You'll provide leadership, operational oversight, and clinical management across key hospital services.
This includes driving quality improvement, managing resources, supporting team development, and fostering a positive and high-performing culture.
Key responsibilities include :
Leading and mentoring clinical team leaders and nursing staff.
Managing operational efficiency, staffing, and rosters.
Promoting excellence in patient care and continuous improvement.
Supporting hospital planning, risk management, and quality initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with clinical and safety standards.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position based in Christchurch.
KO KOE | ABOUT YOU
You'll be a registered nurse with a current practising certificate, strong leadership experience, and sound clinical expertise in a surgical setting.
You'll bring :
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A commitment to patient safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
The ability to lead with integrity, empathy, and professionalism.
