Established in 1901, Dr. Martens was originally recognized as a sturdy, durable work boot before transforming in the 1960s into an iconic fashion statement, synonymous with festival culture.
Over the past six decades, the brand has been adopted by diverse tribes, celebrities, musicians, and free-thinking individuals, each customizing the boots to their personal needs, attitudes, and identities.
Accent Group Limited acquired the distribution rights for Dr. Martens in 1988 and opened the first Australian retail store in Sydney in 2018.
Now with stores across Australia and New Zealand, Dr. Martens continues to grow and dominate the Australian market.
