Policy Analyst - Data Insights Role type : Permanent, full-time Location : Wellington Salary range & band : General Salary Range F : $76,463 to $89,215 depending on skills and experience

About the Role – Korero mo te Turanga We're looking for a data-savvy Policy Analyst to join our Data Insights team within the Strategy Insights & Evidence directorate of Policy & Trade.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on using data and evidence to shape policy that supports New Zealand's primary industries.

As a Policy Analyst, you will :

• Analyse economic, trade, market, consumer and business performance data to inform policy development
• Identify trends and emerging issues using market, consumer, and sector performance data as well as stakeholder insights
• Develop evidence-based, cost-effective policy options for government action
• Support the development of legislative and regulatory instruments
• Collaborate across MPI, with other agencies and with stakeholders to deliver cross-government policy initiatives.
