Responsibilities
Work collaboratively to carry out maintenance, repair and upgrades to rail infrastructure
Training will include classroom learning, on-the-job training and practical experience to gain knowledge and confidence
Operate tools and minor equipment under supervision, gaining competency as you progress
An active, physical role where teamwork and safety come first
Be prepared to work shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays
Monday to Sunday, 80 hours per fortnight, on a rotational roster
A clean NZ Driver's License – Class 1 is essential in this role
A team player who communicates openly and respectfully
Safety focused and the courage to ask questions when unsure
The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically active, quick learner who enjoys practical hands-on work
You must be able to pass a CAT1 pre-employment medical assessment (highest safety criticality)
Flexibility to work shifts, including night shift, overnights and callouts once fully trained
