mahi | The opportunity
This is a part time opportunity on a 12-month fixed term basis.
This role is all about connection and support.
You'll build meaningful relationships with clients and whanau and support them to engage with our services and navigate other appropriate supports in the community.
You will provide information, support and take the lead on coordination, organisation and co-facilitation of online group programmes to build their confidence and skills to support their wellbeing now and into the future.
We're looking for people who are :
Passionate about supporting others
Empathetic and culturally responsive
Confidence delivering services in a virtual environment, and working collaboratively as part of a remote team
An understanding of the Waikato region – its communities, services, and geography, and existing relationships in mental health and social services would be advantageous
Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification (or currently working towards it)
Experience supporting people living with health or social challenges
Capable coordinators – able to plan, organise and keep track of the details to ensure services (sessions, workshops and programmes) run smoothly
