Strong Intermediate / Senior Bas Accountant

Overview

An opportunity has become available for a strong Intermediate or already Senior accountant to join a superb Tauranga based company with an excellent brand name in a great location.

This role is situated in a modern and bright office with an excellent company culture.

They are looking for someone who has gained strong NZ experience within public practice already.

The successful candidate will be hardworking and social, able to fit in with the team and establish themselves long-term at the firm.

The business has gone through many positive changes and is looking to further improve by adding a top calibre candidate to the team.

The firm has acquired a new client base which is heavily in the agri space and needs someone with this skillset to support the director.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and possess a strong attention to detail.

You must have minimum 3 years accounting experience, in the process of completing your CA, or having completed this is advantageous.

Having experience with Xero and other software would place you well.

Being personable, a problem solver and someone who isn't afraid to ask the right questions is what we are looking for.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with partners and senior staff to serve a growing agri-focused client base.

Provide high-quality accounting support as part of a collaborative team in a modern Tauranga office.

Build strong client relationships and contribute to the firm's culture and ongoing improvements.

Utilise Xero and other accounting software; contribute to process improvements.

Work toward CA qualification or as an already qualified CA to support ongoing development.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years accounting experience.

In the process of completing CA, or having completed CA is advantageous.

Strong NZ public practice experience.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Experience with Xero and other accounting software.
