We’re seeking a capable and values-driven Food Technology Technician to join our Creative Industries Faculty, helping us deliver the high standards and care we’re known for. Mō te tūranga | About the role : Our Food Technology Technician role provides essential support to the teaching and learning in Food Technology — ensuring that equipment, ingredients, and resources are available and managed effectively and safely to enable engaging, high-quality learning experiences. This is a fixed term contract, school term only, full-time opportunity starting in mid-January 2026.
Job Description
- Support teachers with lesson preparation, setup, demonstrations, and supervision during practical classes.
- Manage food orders, stock levels, and budgeting for consumables and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe learning environment, ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations.
- Coordinate cleaning, maintenance, and inventory of all Food Technology resources and equipment.
- Play an active role in promoting sustainability practices such as waste reduction and recycling.
