Join our Team as a Developer Relations Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Developer Relations Engineer to join our team. As the publisher of Ubuntu, we serve millions of developers, building for the cloud, IoT, and data science. Our goal is to make open source easier and more reliable for innovators and enterprises.
We have created a new Developer Relations team to engage directly with open source communities and developer-centric organizations. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert, strategist, and communicator with deep empathy for developers.
Responsibilities :
- Take part in team product meetings, contributing insight and expertise
- Maintain conversations with developer community members
- Work with colleagues to establish commonality and consistent approaches
- Help solve specific technical problems
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Work on technical articles, presentations, or workshops
- Identify new opportunities for improvement in the developer experience
- Present at conferences, meetups, or technical events
Requirements :
A strong passion for and engagement in open-source softwareExperience developing and deploying software using LinuxPractical hands-on experience with Linux software packagingUnderstanding of current software packaging issues and trends in the Linux ecosystemContributor to open-source communities, software, and documentationAn engaging and effective speaker and presenterAble to work effectively in contexts with different perspectives and needsAdditional Skills :
