Mo tenei turanga mahi | About this roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Investigator with strong analytical, communication and resolution skills to join our professional, friendly and supportive organisation.This is a full-time position within the Investigations Team.
The principal role of the Senior Investigator is to assist the Commissioner to determine whether there has been a breach of the Code.
Senior Investigators supports the Team Leader, Investigations through coaching less-experienced investigators and assisting with quality assurance to ensure that the team produces consistently high-quality work.

Ko nga mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitu te haere | What you'll need to be successful :Ability to manage multiple investigations effectively, support colleagues, and actively enhance team performance + An investigations background with a history of outstanding performance + Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision + Ability to identify and prioritise complex issues and deal with evidential difficulties / challenges + Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate with people from a wide cross-section of the community + Ability to convey complex information accurately in clear and simple language + Proven ability to manage a heavy caseload, producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines consistently + Proven ability to lead and motivate colleagues + Initiative and professionalism + A relevant tertiary qualification (health, law, or disability an advantage) + At least four years' (Senior Investigator) relevant work experience, preferably more + An awareness of the systemic barriers experienced by disabled people in the health and disability system + Sensitivity to the values of other cultural and ethnic groups + An understanding of, or experience in, the health and disability sector or the ability to obtain such an understandingAwhe utu - Salary rangeAs part of our remuneration framework the mid point for the position is $90,191.Note : KiwiSaver / employer contribution is in additional to your base salary.
