Job description

Detaching damaged panels and components, as well as removing upholstery and fittings to access repair areas

Repairing dents by hammering out panels

Realigning bent vehicles and parts using hydraulic or mechanical tools

Replacing severely damaged areas with new or recycled panels

Applying plastic filler to low spots, then shaping, grinding, and sanding surfaces for a smooth finish

Cutting and welding replacement sections into place

Installing repaired or new panels and reattaching body components such as locks and trims

Assisting body builders in restoring and fabricating custom, vintage, or specialty vehicles

May be required to spray paint vehicles

Repairs bodywork made of metal, fiberglass, and plastic, and fabricates replacement panels.

Carrying out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the employer

Position Details

Location : Auckland

Job Type : Full-time, Permanent

Pay Rate : $

Days Required : 5–6 days per week

Hours Per Week : Minimum 40 hours

Job Requirements

At least 2 years of relevant work experience, or a NZQF level 4 qualification in a relevant field from New Zealand, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
