Maintenance and Vegetation Scheduler
New Plymouth or Tauranga
Permanent - Full-time
We're looking for a Maintenance and Vegetation Scheduler who's organised, steady under pressure, and great at bringing people together to get things done.
In this role, you'll schedule and coordinate our preventative maintenance and vegetation programmes, making sure they line up with regulations, standards, and the wider whole-of-works plan.
You'll champion good planning practice, build strong relationships with service providers, and help lift the quality and value of Powerco's scheduled maintenance programme.
What you'll be doing
Developing the five-year rolling maintenance and vegetation plan with support from the Reliability Engineering team.
Coordinating the in-year maintenance and vegetation programmes, making sure they align with longer-term capital and operational work.
Building and managing preventative maintenance schedules in SAP and IVMS, optimising efficiency and minimising outages while meeting compliance requirements.
Working with the Network Operations Centre to prioritise planned work, including activities that impact SAIDI and SAIFI.
Working closely with service providers to manage deliverability, monitor risks, and keep the programme on track.
Data Quality and Continuous Improvement
Championing high-quality asset and maintenance data, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and timely.
Supporting field teams and service providers to capture reliable information, including asset data and photos.
Monitoring SAP workflows and processes to maintain strong asset information for decision-making and regulatory reporting.
Driving continuous improvement across planning processes, data quality, reporting, and work allocation.
You'll also
Lead best-practice planning and scheduling within the team and with service providers.
Contribute to wider programme and organisational goals based on your strengths, experience, and development aspirations.
Who we're looking for
Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a network, utilities, or asset-intensive environment.
Strong capability working with maintenance management systems, ideally SAP.
Proven relationship-building skills and the confidence to influence across the business.
Someone who's health and safety focused, data-savvy, and comfortable using evidence to drive decisions.
A proactive mind that naturally looks for better ways of doing things and enjoys championing process and data improvements.
