Chief Actuary & Appointed Actuary
About the role
Reporting to the NZ Chubb Life CEO with a functional matrix reporting line to the CFO, Audit Committee, and Southeast Asia Chief Actuary, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to gain international exposure and to share your expert actuarial knowledge of the insurance industry.
As a trusted partner, you'll provide invaluable strategic guidance to the CEO, senior leaders and to the Board. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping day-to-day operations, making astute business decisions, and actively contributing to strategic planning.
You will lead in managing financial and insurance risk, developing business plans, exceeding customer expectations, setting competitive prices, and conducting precise actuarial valuations based on both US GAAP and NZ IFRS financial reporting standards.
As an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, your role will be pivotal in providing clear direction, fostering a safe and supportive environment, and motivating staff.

In addition, you’ll serve as a permanent attendee at all Audit Committee, Risk Committee and Board meetings.
