About the Role
The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Coordinator works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team at the Child Development Centre, alongside medical, allied health, and Kaitiaki staff.
The role also involves liaising with education providers and community disability support services to ensure appropriate supports are available for children and their whanau / families, both before and after diagnosis.
This position supports children and young people aged 019 years with physical and / or developmental disabilities.

About the Team
The role sits within the Allied Health Service in Child Development Service.
Child Development Service provides Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetic, Audiology & New Born Hearing screening, Social Work, and Psychology services.
Staff within these professions are all involved in direct client care and work in a wide range of situations to improve the health and wellbeing of the people they work with.
Allied Health staff work in partnership with individuals and their family / whanau to facilitate relationships and a smooth journey through the healthcare system.
