Portfolio Technical Lead

Overview

Portfolio Technical Lead role at Randstad New Zealand. Based in Wellington. This is a 6-month Fixed-Term or hourly rate contract.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of technical projects with a development background and leadership experience in a project environment.
• Advocate for architectural principles such as privacy and security by design, quality, security, and user-centric design; ensure systems meet security and privacy standards.
• Champion CI / CD, monitoring, and infrastructure as code.
• Familiar with coding, testing, and deployment practices; understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Skilled in tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, Docker, etc.; strong Agile proficiency with sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Identify blockers early and mitigate them; translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders; guide architectural decisions.
• Drive iterative delivery through Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models; ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget.
• Balance technical debt, feature development, and stakeholder demands; bridge gaps between development, project, and business teams.
