About the Role

This role is challenging, interesting and integral to the service we provide to our clients.

As a Field Engineer, you will support a variety of IT environments and provide on-site assistance to our clients.

Your responsibilities will include delivering desktop and engineering support, performing on-site installations, and managing any necessary diagnostics, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs of complex equipment and systems.

You will work closely with clients, so exceptional communication skills and a strong customer service focus are essential.

Professionalism, combined with solid technical expertise, will be key to your success in this role.

Note : Due to the security requirements of our customers, this role is only available to New Zealand Citizens and / or Permanent Residents having lived in NZ for a minimum of 5 consecutive years.

What You'll Do

On-site support across a number of clients (varying locations) – a valid Full NZ driver's license and your own vehicle may be required.

Serve as the company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.

Build and support end-user devices (PCs, laptops, thin clients, printers, mobiles, tablets).

Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and problem-solve.

Provide Windows desktop, server, and network support.

Build productive working relationships across a variety of colleagues, clients, and suppliers.

Possibly include any aspect of field support, not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking / wireless networking.

Maintain flexibility to work / travel after hours and / or on-call on occasion, if required.

What You'll Bring

2+ years of relevant IT experience.

Experience with installation, diagnosis and repair of PC systems, end-user devices and software (e.g., laptops, desktops, tablets, Intune, O365, current Windows operating systems).

Working familiarity with server and networking equipment.

Working familiarity with Point of Sale and Eftpos technology.

Ability to work on assignments of moderate scope requiring analysis of situations or data that review a variety of factors.

Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to translate user needs into a technical solution.

Excellent customer relationship building and management skills.

Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels.
