NZCL is looking for energetic and motivated people to support people in their own home.
We are looking for a part time Support Worker to help the people we support in Rangiora and Kaiapoi.
What does a Support Worker do?

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills.
Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24 / 7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

Who we are looking for

People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours.
Full driver's license is essential.
Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box.
You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
